Posting Summary | The manager of special projects reports to the Chancellor at Rutgers University-Camden, but will regularly work very closely with, and often at the direction of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration. The manager of special projects will maintain an informed understanding of the Chancellor’s immediate and long-term priorities, deadlines, and expectations for projects and will be responsible to develop and execute project plans that bring together the appropriate stakeholders and meet key goals and benchmarks. The manager of special projects will have a great influence on the ability of the Chancellor to successfully deliver goals and strategic plans. In addition, the manager of special projects will provide direct project support to the Chancellor at Rutgers University–Camden. The incumbent will manage strategic communications, coordinating at a high volume, involving frequent communication with internal and external stakeholders, often at a high level. This position will assist in the coordination of recurring commitments including committee, council, board, staff, faculty, and budget meetings. The manager of special projects will prepare necessary documents, agendas, task lists and presentations. They will plan, manage, and facilitate logistical and operational elements for a variety of projects, events, and staff searches. Additionally, the manager of special projects will work in collaboration with campus partners at all levels on the planning and execution of events and providing support to committees and taskforces as assigned by the Chancellor. |

Work Arrangement | Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
